Famous For:
Indiana is home to several major sports teams and athletic events including the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, the NBA's Indiana Pacers. Modern Indiana is renowned for many things including the Indy 500, the Universities of Indiana: Notre Dame and Purdue, and for being (arguably) the epicenter of high school and college basketball. But perhaps its most endearing charms are found in the small towns that has the welcoming landscape of the Hoosier State.

Must do while there:
Numbering over 350 different animal species on its nearly 70 acres, the Indianapolis Zoo offers the world's first totally submerged dolphin viewing experience and the world's largest shark touch tank. The Eiteljorg Museum is the only museum of its kind in the Midwest, and one of only two museums east of the Mississippi that showcase both Native American and Western art, culture and history. Indianapolis boasts a beautiful one-and-a-half mile long Central Canal that offers gondola rides, pedal boats, etc.
